Better Bankside and Team London Bridge introduce #BetterAir Sensory Connections – 3 participatory ‘walkshops’ that will enable participants to discover different hidden and verdant spaces and tranquil routes either side of Borough of High Street.
It is already understood that walking just one road back from a busy main road can halve the pollution pedestrians are exposed to, these walkshops will uncover some emerging tranquil routes being promoted to improve walking connections between London Bridge and Bankside.
This is the second of our 3-part, 3-day series of participatory walkshops (workshops on foot). You will be guided to walk along a route and will be invited to smell and touch your surroundings and objects you encounter, learning new ways of discovering an area through other senses than your sight alone. You will be encouraged to document your discoveries through words and using water colour, as well as bricolage. All materials provided. Limited capacity so please book in advance.
This is a free event brought to you by Team London Bridge and Better Bankside, working in partnership as one of the Mayor of London‘s ‘Low Emission Neighbourhoods’.
