As part of the Borough High Street Low Emission Neighbourhood, Better Bankside and Team London Bridge introduce #BetterAir Sensory Connections – 3 participatory ‘walkshops’ that will enable participants to discover different hidden and verdant spaces and tranquil routes either side of Borough of High Street.

It is already understood that walking just one road back from a busy main road can halve the pollution pedestrians are exposed to, these walkshops will uncover some emerging tranquil routes being promoted to improve walking links between London Bridge and Bankside.

This is the first of our 3-part, 3-day series of creative walkshops (workshops on foot). You will be guided along a route that includes street trees, with an emphasis on how careful choice of varieties more resilient to air pollution and climate change have (and will) improve the aesthetic and ecological surroundings for residents, workers, commuters and visitors. Participants will be invited to record and document what they find through sketching and photography.

Participants to bring their own cameras / smartphones, all other materials provided.  Spaces are limited so please book in advance.

This is a free event brought to you by Team London Bridge and Better Bankside, working in partnership as one of the Mayor of London‘s ‘Low Emission Neighbourhoods’.
